Race Day Tech Inspection
Race Day Tech Inspection will follow a very simple but thorough process. The race day tech inspection checklist is posted here so all drivers and teams will know what they are expected to be prepared to present on race day.
This inspection is in addition to CamDoctor Testing and a TBRA Series Cam Sealed Motor!
The process will begin in the pits to keep everything running smooth and quickly on race day. Not all checks on the form will be conducted prior to the start of the race. But all checks will be conducted on the Top 3 finishers and a random driver. The Top 3 will be perpetual meaning if one of the top 3 is disqualified for a rules infraction, the 4th place driver that moves into the Top 3 will also present for the additional Tech Inspection.
Car #, Driver, Make, Model, Date, Track and Engine Package will be checked by an official in the pits prior to Tech Inspection. Also if Cubic Inch, Compression and Carb have already been checked and bear an untampered TBRA Series cable seal the seal number will also be recorded on the Tech Inspection Form. TBRA Series CamDoctor cable seal will be checked and recorded at this time and if your motor is not yet sealed for CamDoctor it will be checked in the pits prior to general Tech.
Rocker Arms and Valve Springs will be checked post race on the Top 3 finishers (perpetual) and a random driver. Same with Cubic Inch, Compression and Carb Bottom and Boosters if not already Carb Sealed by a TBRA Series cable seal. Carb Top will be checked prior to the start of the race in general Tech on all cars and Carb package will be recorded.
Ignition: RPM Chip (provided by TBRA Series) will be placed in car by TBRA Series Tech Official as you roll off the scales and a Tamper Evident TBRA Series Seal will be placed over the chip to prevent removal and replacement. Wiring to coil and distributor will be visually checked prior to the race with full inspection on Top 3 finishers (perpetual) and a random driver.
Tires will be marked in impound and checked at the scales prior to the race. Rim width will be checked at the scales prior to the race.
All safety equipment will be checked prior to the start of the race while in Tech Inspection line-up for the Referee Check.
Weight and % will be checked at the scales prior to the race.
ABC Body will be checked by Referee Check and visual inspection with spot check will be conducted prior to the race. Full Inspection will be done on Top 3 finishers (perpetual) and a random driver.
